  1. Let it be known that Dan Kelly did not die at Glenrowan. He lived until 1943. He married and had a daughter.

  4. So the real truth will soon be known to all. An author who has written a Ned Kelly book will soon release the continuing story of the life of Dan Kelly. Yes, Dan did live on.Yes he did go to Africa. But he came back to Australia.

  7. My mum knew him. Grew up in Brisbane and my grandpa was a barber there. She told me stories from my earliest youth of Dan. She also was a Kelly though denied any relationship to him. But I reckon she had her reasons. Dan was still alive when mum left Australia in the early 40's.

  9. My late husband met Dan Kelly around 1945. He wrote the book 'Burnt to a Cinder, was I' about Dan's life after Glenrowan. I have boxes of research papers, emails, photos of Dan (not published). I would like a film made so we can set the record straight. Also Steve Hart photos etc.
I am posting under anonymous but will make contact if worthwhile!

  14. I once had a girl on a FB page discussion of Ned Kelly tell me she a decendent of Dan Kelly and that 'Dan did not die in the fire'. After the pub burned down, two semi cremated bodies found beyond recognition - who did they belong to? One suggestion had it that they of tramps who remained in the pub.

  16. This is really interesting... i luv history n reading about the Kelly family, would be good to know to truth and set the record straight... why don't they do a DNA test on his bones like they did with Ned? Then they can lay his body next to his mother too!

  17. I find this really strange and very unusual because if Dan Kelly did survive the fire at Glenrowan in Victoria how did Dan Kelly get into Queensland???

  18. Can anyone 100% proof that it was Dan Kelly was alive after the fire???as well did Ned Kelly survive too....because I don’t know much about the Australian history that is because I didn’t have much school in my birth country which Is Holland not even in Australia... as well I might add is when I went to the primary state school in Australia okay..the teacher(s) taught us was that the British people were here first this is 100% false because the Dutch explores where here in the 1660’s era so to me is all the teachers should go back to school & learn the true facts but the Dutch explores didn’t want Australia that is why the British took it!!! And I might add is Hawaii was formerly known as the Sandwich Islands is that is where the captain James Cook was speared on his last voyage

  21. I find this very interesting, i always wondered why Ned came from the scrub and single handedly took on the police. Was it to create a diversion so Dan and Steve could make their escape.
It would seem that Mates do not leave mates unless for a good reason, after all Ned was the older brother and the Man they most wanted.
In a statement to the police after the the siege and capture of Ned, Ned said thee boys would fight to the death.
Maybe he wanted the Police to believe that they died as he knew otherwise.

  22. Could anyone tell me what is the name of the book that Anonymous is talking about or if it w as ever published

  23. They did not survive. If old mate had all this information he says he does it would have been released already. You would not be the only person who had these so called photos and documents. All just bollocks.

  24. My Husands family have always believed that they are the decendents of Dan Kelly bushranger
His Grandfather was called Dan Kelly but his father was named James Kelly
But after years of research Just cannot find any parents or anything for that matter on The name James Kelly except the children's birth certificates
    Daniel born Dubbo 1887
    Patrick 1889 Dubbo
    Bridget Mary 1890 Warren
    Micheal 1894
    Charles 1897 Cobar
    And Ellen 1900
and Anna 1900 both twins born in Brewarrina
Have had DNA Done on the 3 children of Dan and there is alot of Quinn and Cody and Kelly ancestors showing up

  25. I forgot to mention in the above post that James Kelly's first born child Daniel was born at Terribella Station in Dubbo which was a huge station with Shops Church ect
And the last record of James Kelly was at Goodooga when the baby Anna died at
    Goodooga in 1900
Goodooga was an aboriginal town on the Queensland NSW Border
Really hoping that this information 🙏 will fill in any gaps
    And help us as well
    Thanks for listening

  26. We Believe that James Kelly from the family mentioned above is infact James Ryan ( Dan Kelly Bushranger)
We Believe the family mentioned above is the family that he left behind in Western New South Wales
Also it is possible that He got the allias Surname Ryan from his cousin Jack Ryan from Glenrowan
Jack Ryan was a Kelly Gang Supporter
The DNA from the Descendants from the family mentioned above has direct links to Quinns , Cody and Kelly's

    ReplyDelete
  27. As Jodie says, the DNA we have cannot be matched to Ned Kelly as the only DNA they have is actually.the female DNA from Ned's sister so it can't be actually matched to NED. To confirm this is Ryan's family would require his body to be exhumed to compare the DNA of the above family.

  28. So to the author of "Burnt To a Cinder Was I" we say we believe this is the family that James Ryan said he left behind in 1900.
